BBC News on Savile Row September 2009
My views were sought by BBC News on Savile Row’s attempt to defend its position against lower-grade tailoring interlopers. I appear at about 1.20 in the film. The made-to-measure firm interviewed here, Sartoriani, went broke and was acquired by a similar firm, A Suit That Fits, in March 2011. A Suit That Fits itself went into administration in December 2012 andthen re-launched itself. Made-to-measure is a completely different standard to Savile Row’s bespoke tailoring.
