Männer Vogue, 1991-1992
I worked for the Munich-based Manner Vogue (now known as German GQ) as a fashion stylist in the early 1990s. The fashion director was Sean McGee, who subsequently went back to New York, and my usual assistant was Olivia Pomp, who came to live and work in London.
This lengthy feature from late 1991 showed fashion outfits associated with different occupations. The photographer was Michael Woolley. We shot it in Paris.
This feature showed ties designed by a range of celebrities for an exhibition at the Liberty department store in London. The photographer was Gillian Campbell.
I had a jolly time in Bavaria shooting this feature with snapper Manfred Gestrich. The still lifes were shot by Hans Gissinger.
A feature on the personal style of German MTV presenter Ray Cokes. We shot this around his home turf of north London and in Hyde Park. The headline means “Man without image”, a reference to Ray’s easy-going style. The photographer was Regina Recht.
